I was drafted at the time and serving in the building department of Iran Air Force when my dear friend and colleague Farokh Malek, whose desk was next to mine in the same office, introduced me to Mr. Mafi the owner of the property.

 At the time I was fascinated by Archigram and inspired by Hi-Tech architecture and slick industrial look of buildings like Pompidou Center. Thus I thought  this building, although very small, would be a proper context to apply some Hi-Tech looks. I sold my design to the client by simulating big barrels of Abadan refinery.
